This version is simply the BEST! Perfectly spiced and packed with plenty of protein and fiber. Can be made on the stovetop or in your slow cooker!

2 lbs chili cut ground meat
1 yellow onion
1 can chili beans
1 can black beans (rinsed)
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
2 cups water
1 large sweet potato
2 tbsp Chili powder
1 tbsp Cumin
1 tsp Celery Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Granulated garlic
1 tsp Chipotle pepper season
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup water

Put sweet potato in a plastic bag and microwave until soft (about 5 minutes) or bake until tender.

Remove sweet potato from skin/peel and place in a bowl with one can of tomato sauce.

Mash the sweet potato with the tomato sauce until smooth then add to the slow cooker.

Cook onion and ground meat on stove. Drain off excess liquid and to the slow cooker.

Add all ingredients remaining to the slow cooker. Mix well and cook for 3-4 hours on high or on low for 8 hours.

Serve with shredded sliced cheese
