Although she had a very public professional life, Nancy was at heart a very reserved person who shared the difficulties of her life with few people. Would love to have a chance to read this story. Some of the times of growing up that my 4 children seem to talk about more than I ever expected are about my religiously watching and taping Sew with Nancy. Thank you for sharing her life with us! I never miss her shows on our local PBS stayion. Like many others, I have read her book Seams Unlikely. I started quilting about 5 years ago and quickly heard about Nancy and her show and Nancys Notions. She taught many of us so very much. Sewing with Nancy ever since it started. Nancy Zieman has had partial facial paralysis due to Bell's palsy since she was just over a year old. Thanks to everyone who works there and to her loving family for making this all possible. Nancy was my sewing instructor, never having had the opportunity to take sewing classes in school. I loved going to the sewing weekend and seeing Nancy. It would be a huge honor to win this giveaway. I was on vacation in Mexico when I saw that she had passed. I watched so many of her shows and I also like those who commented learned so much. I did fine for many years, but when I found Nancys programs on PBS thats when I learned to sew BETTER. I learned so much from her, she was such a good teacher. I was similarly introduced to her sewing shows via our local PBS station. I have her autobiography and would love to read this book by Richard also. Zieman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with double majors in home economics and journalism. I went to two seminars at her place in Wisconsin and loved it and loved meeting her. She is dearly missed. She just matter of factly shows us tips and secrets. She gave me the courage to start sewing. She was genuine, humble, and a very lovely true lady. Thanks to Nancy, I was able to sew for my seven children, including school uniforms and proms, and loved every minute of it. They are my go to when I have something I dont know how to do. A NEW!
